Professional piano instruction for all ages in a nurturing, structured environment. Develop your musical voice with personalized guidance from an experienced educator and church musician.
Every student is unique. My approach adapts to your goals while establishing a strong musical foundation that lasts a lifetime.
Whether you dream of performing classical masterpieces, leading worship, or simply playing your favorite songs, lessons are tailored to your personal musical aspirations.
Proper technique, music theory, and reading skills aren't just academic—they're the tools that unlock your ability to play anything you desire with confidence.
Music is a journey, not a race. I believe in celebrating small victories, building confidence at every stage, and making practice something you actually look forward to.
Beyond notes and rhythms, I help students find their own musical voice. True artistry comes from understanding how to communicate emotion through music.
Learning thrives in a space free from judgment. I create an atmosphere where mistakes are opportunities for growth, and questions are always welcome.
For those called to church music, I offer specialized training in hymn playing, accompaniment, and the unique skills needed to serve congregational worship.
Structured curriculum that evolves with you, from your very first lesson to advanced performance.
Every lesson integrates these essential components, adjusted to your current level and goals. This balanced approach ensures well-rounded musicianship.
Proper hand position, finger independence, scales, and exercises that prevent injury and enable beautiful playing.
Fluent sight-reading skills in both treble and bass clefs, rhythm recognition, and musical notation mastery.
Understanding keys, chords, progressions, and musical structure—the language that unlocks improvisation.
Developing your musical ear to recognize intervals, melodies, and harmonies—essential for playing by ear.
A diverse selection of pieces spanning classical, contemporary, hymns, and popular music tailored to your interests.
Introduction to the keyboard, basic hand position, simple melodies, note reading in both hands, and foundational rhythm skills.
Hands together coordination, basic scales and chords, simple pedaling, expanded note reading range, and introduction to musical expression.
Advanced technique, all major and minor scales, chord progressions, sight-reading fluency, and diverse repertoire including classical and contemporary works.
Performance-level technique, advanced repertoire, improvisation, accompaniment skills, and preparation for auditions or professional opportunities.

Regular practice is essential for progress. Beginners should aim for 15-20 minutes daily, intermediate students 30-45 minutes, and advanced students 45-60+ minutes. Consistency matters more than marathon sessions.
Students are responsible for purchasing method books and sheet music as assigned. I'll provide recommendations and can help order materials. Access to a piano or quality keyboard at home is required for practice.
